Many thanks to those who have already signed up to our second anniversary gathering being held on Thursday 24 January 2008 - we will be in touch shortly to confirm the final arrangements. In the meantime, we are delighted to reveal that Paul Lasok QC will be our after dinner speaker.
Paul Lasok is highly regarded in the field of competition law. Chambers UK, 2008 notes that “The “excellent to deal with” Paul Lasok QC is a highly rated and deeply experienced figure”.
He has been involved in advising in many competition cases and recent major cases include representing Honeywell before the European Court of First Instance in a case concerning the European Commission’s power to block conglomerate mergers and its approach to economic assessments. In the UK, major cases include advising on the appeal by Stericycle in relation to Competition Commission decisions imposing interim measures and a finding of significant lessening of competition and representing JJB Sports in the Court of Appeal case concerning replica football kits.
We are delighted that Paul Lasok has agreed to speak at our second anniversary gathering for what promises to be an interesting and enjoyable evening.
If you have not yet signed up to the event, there are some places still available. Please contact Dawn Hendry to reserve your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
