Peter Freeman, Chair of the Competition Commission, will be in Edinburgh on 3 May to deliver an address to the David Hume Institute, an event which Shepherd+ Wedderburn are sponsoring. The title of Peter’s talk is: “A wise man proportions his belief to the evidence – Scepticism and competition policy”, which should provide some insights into how the CC sees its role in shaping UK competition policy and how it manages its various inquires and references. The talk will be followed by an excellent opportunity for some Q&As with Peter and a wine reception. More details can be found on the David Hume Institute’s website at www.davidhumeinstitute.com. We hope to be able to catch up again with many of you there.
